JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a reliable, professional and certified housekeeper and caregiver for our family household in Finland. The household includes a 2-year-old child and an elderly person, whose care is an essential part of the job.

Household Duties:

Cleaning and maintaining the home, cooking and meal preparation, laundry and clothing care (washing, ironing, organizing), grocery shopping and household errands, and other general household tasks.

Care of 2-Year-Old Child:

Daily care and supervision (diaper changing, bathing, dressing), ensuring proper nutrition and meals, supporting nap times and bedtime routines, play and supporting early childhood development at age-appropriate level, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment, monitoring the child’s health and contacting parents when necessary, and daily outdoor activities and physical exercise with the child.

Elderly Care:

Daily assistance and personal care (hygiene, mobility, meals, medication management), providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring wellbeing and contacting family members when necessary.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS – MANDATORY

The applicant must speak natively or fluently the following languages: Kinaray-a / Antiqueño (dialect of Antique Province) and Tagalog or a Tagalog-based dialect for communication purposes. Both are mandatory requirements and non-negotiable.

FINNISH IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS (RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR EMPLOYED PERSON)

The applicant must be willing to apply for a residence permit for an employed person in Finland through the Finnish Immigration Service (migri.fi) before arriving in Finland. The employer will complete the Terms of Employment form attached to the application and will cover all costs related to the application process.

Requirements under the Finnish Aliens Act (301/2004): valid passport, employment contract or binding job offer from a Finnish employer, salary and other employment conditions comply with Finnish collective agreements, the employer has completed the labour market test (confirming that no suitable workforce is available from Finland or the EU/EEA area), the applicant meets general health and safety requirements, and the applicant has no valid entry ban.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory requirements:

From the Philippines, Antique Province. Fluent in Kinaray-a / Antiqueño dialect and Tagalog. Official certification for housekeeper and/or childcare worker and/or elderly caregiver duties (TESDA certificate or equivalent). Proven experience in caring for children under 3 years of age. Proven experience in elderly care or caregiving work. Good character (criminal background check required). Good health (medical certificate required). Willingness to start work immediately upon signing the contract.

Considered an advantage:

Knowledge of Finnish, English or Swedish, First Aid Certificate, early childhood education background or experience, driving licence, and previous experience working abroad.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The applicant must hold one of the following or equivalent certificates: TESDA – Household Services NC II or equivalent, Caregiving NC II (childcare and elderly care), or other official qualification or certificate in domestic work, childcare or elderly care. Certificates must be submitted with the application. Documents will be officially translated into Finnish or English if required.
