Varhaiskasvatuksen opettaja / Early Childhood Education Teacher

As an ECE Teacher, you will play an important role in planning, implementing, observing and documenting pedagogy for children aged **16**. You will work closely with colleagues, childcarers and families to create a calm, reflective and respectful learning environment where childrens voices are genuinely heard and their curiosity is supported.

**Main responsibilities**

– Plan, implement and document pedagogy in line with the Finnish early childhood education framework and Carousels Reggio Emilia inspired approach

– Lead and evaluate the pedagogical work of the child group together with the team

– Observe childrens learning, development and wellbeing and use this to guide planning

– Build warm and trusting relationships with children and families

– Support an inclusive, safe and emotionally responsive learning environment

**Requirements**

– Eligibility to work as a **varhaiskasvatuksen opettaja** in Finland

– Strong spoken and written English

– Finnish language skills are a strong advantage

– Previous experience in Finnish early childhood education is appreciated

– A collaborative, reflective and professional approach to teamwork

– A valid criminal record extract for work with children in Finland before employment begins
