Technical Account Manager

Cadmatic is a leading global developer of digital and intelligent 3D-based design, engineering, and information management solutions for the marine, process, and construction industries. Our journey started in the 1980s. Over the past decade, we have grown by 20 percent annually, and it's all about talent. We truly value our people – many stay with us for years, with an average tenure of 10 years. Today we have over 330 proactive, engaged, and growth-minded people in 20 countries around the world. Over 6000 customers are using our software solutions in 60 countries. In the marine industry, our technology supports around 40 percent of the world’s shipyards. We continue strong growth.

We are now looking for a Technical Account Manager to support customers across the USA and Canada. You will focus on technical account management, customer enablement, and solution optimization. You guide customers in setting up, using, and developing their engineering environments with Cadmatic software. In addition, you contribute to presales activities through high-quality technical discovery and demonstrations.

The role gives you a close view of customer engineering work and the chance to shape how engineers design and build with Cadmatic tools. You help customers adopt Cadmatic solutions smoothly, keep their environment stable, and find better ways of working.

You’ll be a part of the Sales team and report to our Regional Sales Director of Americas, Juan Prieto. The position is based either in Virginia, Mississippi, or Louisiana, and it is fully remote work.

 In this role, you will

  • Act as the main technical contact for assigned customers.

  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing enablement of Cadmatic solutions.

  • Learn customer engineering workflows and advice on optimal configuration and use.

  • Diagnose technical issues and coordinate resolution with Product, R&D, and Support.

  • Participate in technical discovery for qualified opportunities and provide workflow-based technical insights to support solution positioning.

  • Prepare and deliver tailored product demonstrations and support proof of concepts and hands-on evaluations.

  • Contribute technical validation and qualification before proposals.

  • Maintain clear technical account documentation while tracking account health, adoption levels, usage patterns, and issue logs.

  • Proactively identify technical risks and recommend actions.

  • Share structured customer feedback with internal teams to develop our services.

What helps you succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.

  • Experience with CAD, CAE, PLM, or similar engineering software.

  • Background in shipbuilding or marine engineering supports your success in this role. Experience from industrial plant or other advanced engineering environments fits the role well too.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to customers and internal teams.

  • Comfortable operating in customer-facing, matrix environments.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Knowledge of Cadmatic products or familiarity with export control environments such as EAR or ITAR is considered an asset.

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What we offer

  • Flexible working hours and remote work. The role requires regular visits to customer premises.

  • Paid Time Off: 22 days of paid time off (PTO) per year.

  • Medical insurance.

  • 401(k) retirement plan.

  • Travel expense coverage for customer and Cadmatic premises according to our global travel policy.

  • Compensation: Annual base salary of $95,000–$110,000 plus a variable bonus, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $123,500–$143,000. This salary range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this position, and the final offer may vary within the range depending on the work location, work experience, and the level of expertise in shipbuilding or marine engineering.

 Cadmatic as an employer

  • A stable, global company with a long history, strong future, and cutting‑edge software solutions.

  • A friendly, supportive, and truly multicultural work environment where we succeed together.

  • Autonomy, ownership, and trust: you’re encouraged to do your best work and develop professionally.

  • Competitive benefits and flexible working practices that support work‑life balance.

  • An engineer‑minded, people‑first culture — we take our work seriously but also enjoy ourselves along the way.
