1 Terms of use

Laura.fi is a site owned and maintained by Laura Recruitment Ltd and by using the Laura.fi website and its services, you accept the Terms of Use of the service. Laura Recruitment Ltd reserves the rights to change the terms and conditions of the service.

1.1 Purpose of the service

The purpose of the Laura.fi site is to promote Finnish job search, career development and recruitment. Our aim is to help job applicants and persons changing careers to meet with recruiters. Corporate customers can use the service and the data on the job applicants only for purposes relating to matters referred to above.

1.2 Responsibilities of the user

You shall be responsible for the confidentiality of your user ID and password. The user shall be responsible for the security of his own computer or other corresponding device. The Laura.fi site shall operate in the Internet and the service provider shall not be responsible for its functioning in individual terminal equipment.

The user, a private person or an advertiser, shall be responsible for not causing disturbance to other users or breaching the rights of other users, the Laura Recruitment Ltd or third parties. The user undertakes not to record, disseminate, send or mediate any material contrary to the law and/or good practice, to incite to such act or to promote it.

The user of the Service shall be responsible to ensure that the material published in the service by the user is not contrary to the law, regulations by the authorities or to good practice or that it does not infringe the rights of third parties such as the copyright, trademark or trade name of a third party. The user of the service shall undertake to compensate Laura Recruitment Ltd for all damage possibly caused to Laura Recruitment Ltd by the user using the service in violation of these Terms of Use. Laura Recruitment Ltd shall have the right but not the obligation to inspect, change or forbid the publication of material it deems unsuitable, especially if the material is contrary to the law, good practice or marketing regulations.

1.3 Responsibilities of the service provider

The Laura.fi site shall primarily be in use and operation at all times as provided by Laura Recruitment Ltd from time to time but Laura Recruitment Ltd shall not guarantee that the service or any individual part thereof would be available at all times and uninterrupted.

Laura Recruitment Ltd shall always have the right to interrupt the service if this is necessary due to a technical alteration or update or due to the instalment, alteration and service work of the general communications network or if the laws, decrees, regulations of the authorities, instructions, statements or recommendations of the central organisations in the field so require.

The use of the service shall primarily take place at the own responsibility of the user and Laura Recruitment Ltd shall not be liable for any damage caused to the user or the terminal equipment of the user by the use of the service. Insofar as the liability of Laura Recruitment Ltd cannot be effectively restricted, the liability of Laura Recruitment Ltd shall be restricted to at most 100 euros or to any higher mandatory statutory amount.

1.4 Use of the service

The purpose of the Laura.fi site shall be to help people advance in their careers. The use of the service shall be free of charge for a private user. The service may have available additional characteristics subject to a charge but the charge shall be separately notified in connection with the characteristic.

Laura.fi provides registered user with a possibility to browse job ads as well as to apply for a job through the service. Applying takes place through a link guiding to the website defined by the advertiser or to the application form of a company or organisation or to an email address defined by the advertiser.

Laura.fi shall act as a channel for job ads as well as aim at helping a person and a job position to cross paths through the service. If the applicant wishes to obtain more specific information on the advertiser company or organisation, he shall contact the company or organisation referred to in the ad directly. Laura.fi shall not be responsible for the contents of the job ad in the service or for their accuracy or reliability.

The user may create a username for the Laura.fi site, in which case the user shall be liable to give correct information on himself. The data are stored in the Laura.fi site and they shall be used only for the purposes of the service and Laura Recruitment Ltd. You can read more about data processing from our privacy policy.

1.5 Ownership of and copyright to the service

The content of the service and its technical solutions are solely the property of Laura Recruitment Ltd or third parties. The user of the service is not entitled to copy, record, transmit, or otherwise make the service or its content, or parts thereof, available to third parties without the prior written consent of Laura Recruitment Ltd. However, the user is free to transfer their own material created in the service. The distribution, presentation, or public display of the content of the service or any part thereof, as well as copying, storing, or reproducing the content without the written consent of Laura Recruitment Ltd, is strictly prohibited.

1.6 Ads in the service

The advertiser may post an ad to the Laura.fi website in Finnish or in English. Each ad shall bear a unique identification number. An ad published in the Laura.fi website shall be displayed at most for 30 days and the ad may contain only one job position per ad. When the application period indicated in the ad ends, the ad will become passive automatically. Laura Recruitment Ltd shall have the right but not the obligation to store the passive ad material of the customer.

The advertiser may post an ad on the Laura.fi website either through the online store, Laura recruitment software, The Network -service or the customer service of Laura Recruitment Ltd. An ad purchased through the online store shall be paid through the payment transfer service provided by Paytrail Oyj. The ad posted through the online store shall be published on the website immediately after its payment and the system shall send a receipt of the payment to the Email address notified by the customer. An ad posted through the customer service shall be published on the Laura.fi website within one workday. An invoice of the ad posted through the customer service shall be sent to the invoicing address notified by the customer. The term of payment for the invoice shall be 10 days net.

Laura Recruitment Ltd shall have the right but not the obligation to inspect, change or forbid the publication of material deemed inappropriate by it especially if the material is contrary to the law, good practice or marketing regulations. In order to provide the best possible services also to our customers, Laura Recruitment Ltd retains the right to change details of the ad. Ads in violation of the Non-discrimination Act shall be unlawful and they may lead to legal measures against both the advertiser and the publisher. Laura Recruitment Ltd shall approve the ads on its website under the assumption that the party posting the ad confirms that all the conditions or qualification requirements relating to the job position that appear discriminatory comply with the exemptions in the Act in force. If we, despite the confirmation, deem the ad discriminatory, we may, at our discretion, either change the ad or remove it entirely from our service. The payment for a removed ad shall not be refunded.

The advertiser shall undertake to treat the applicants answering to his ad in a professional and equitable manner as well as not to act in any manner that would give the Laura.fi website a bad reputation.

Laura Recruitment Ltd shall not guarantee applicants to the ads on its website nor that the applicants answering to the ads possess the suitable qualities for the job position advertised. The advertiser shall be responsible to draw up the ads so that all the requirements or requests that are material with regard to the applicant are indicated in the ads.

The job ads published on the Laura.fi website may be published also on the job websites of third parties depending on the cooperation between Laura.fi and the other websites from time to time. The ads may also be published on the social media channels of Laura Recruitment Ltd, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or other possible channels.

When posting the ad, the customer agrees that Laura Recruitment Ltd may use in its service the material or contents used by the customer in the ad, such as the name, trademark and logo. The customer also agrees that Laura Recruitment Ltd may use the customer as a reference in the marketing material of the company and, at that time, use the name, trademark and logo of the customer in examples of the services provided by it.

1.7 Payment service provider

Payment services are provided by Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj shall appear as the recipient of the payment in the account statement or card invoice and it shall forward the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj is an authorised payment institution.
