Receptionist, Sunday Morning Resort, Pyhätunturi, Lapland, Finland

**A varied reception role in a boutique resort surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of Finnish Lapland. Could you be the missing piece of our team?**

We are looking for a **Receptionist** to join our team at **Sunday Morning Resort** in Pyhätunturi, Finnish Lapland.

Our reception is at the heart of the resort, giving you the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of our daily operations. Whether you are just starting your career in hospitality, already have extensive experience in the industry, or bring valuable customer service skills from another field, we’d love to hear from you. We believe diverse backgrounds strengthen our team.

As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for a wide range of guest service tasks. We look after our guests warmly at the front desk, by email, over the phone and through various booking channels.

**Your responsibilities include, among others:**

– Check-in and check-out procedures for **Sunday Morning Resort** and **Parkside Pyhä**

– Managing accommodation and activity reservations, including ensuring bookings, restaurant reservations and activities are correctly arranged, preparing welcome letters, and recommending local experiences

– Handling accommodation and activity payments, including advance payments and on-site payments

– Selling additional services and making reservations

– Managing OTA reservations, guest communication and upselling (Booking.com & Expedia Group)

– Working closely with all resort departments to ensure a seamless guest experience

– Maintaining the presentation and sales of our small souvenir shop located at reception, as well as keeping the coffee station tidy

– Covering the Concierge / Guest Relations role when required (a new position for the upcoming winter season), including lobby bar service and in-room deliveries

– Assisting other departments when needed, for example with meeting services or housekeeping

Our reception team consists of **2–3 receptionists, a concierge and the Front Office Manager**.

As we are a relatively compact resort, reception shifts are generally worked independently outside the busiest peak periods. We therefore value people who work responsibly, stay calm under pressure and take ownership of the tasks at hand. Support is always available, and during your onboarding we will carefully introduce you to all reception and resort operations.

You will work closely with our management, sales, restaurant, housekeeping, activities and maintenance teams to ensure a consistently high level of service.

You will also work alongside our AI-powered assistant, **Butler AI**, which supports part of our guest communication. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to help improve and train Butler AI to provide an even better guest experience.

**We hope you have**

– Relevant education (for example in hospitality, tourism or hotel management) and/or previous experience in a similar role

– Previous experience with hotel reservation systems is considered an advantage, but is not required. We are happy to train you. Our systems include **Mews** (accommodation), **FareHarbor** (activities and transfers), **ResDiary** (restaurant reservations) and **Profitroom** (website and booking engine)

– A warm and genuine customer service attitude

– The ability to work responsibly both independently and as part of a team

– The ability to remain organised while providing attentive service in a fast-paced environment where several things often happen simultaneously

– Flexibility and strong problem-solving skills

– Fluent Finnish and English. Our guests come from all over the world, so additional language skills are always appreciated

– A Hygiene Passport and Alcohol Serving Passport are considered an advantage

Above all, we value curiosity, a positive attitude and the willingness to learn.

**We offer**

– A varied and responsible role combining hospitality, sales and accommodation services

– A supportive, skilled and close-knit team in a unique working environment surrounded by the fells of Pyhä

– Opportunities to develop your skills within the hospitality and tourism industry

– An excellent location close to the slopes and services of Pyhätunturi

– Staff accommodation at an affordable rent

– Comprehensive occupational healthcare

– 2 shared company ski passes available for employees who enjoy skiing.

– The opportunity to work for a **Sustainable Travel Finland** certified company

– The chance to contribute to the development of a growing company. We continuously improve our operations based on feedback from both our employees and our guests.

– Salary based on the Finnish Hospitality Industry Collective Agreement (MaRa TES) – according to your experience and skills.

We are recruiting **two full-time Receptionists** (37.5 hours/week, 112.5 hours/3 weeks).

The positions begin in **mid-November**.

1. One contract runs approximately until the **end of February**

2. The other runs approximately until **mid-March**

**About us**

During the winter season we organise electric snowmobile safaris, Northern Lights experiences, snowshoe excursions, ice fishing trips, farm visits and many other nature-based activities.
