Start-up/Commissioning Supervisors

We are hiring Start-up/Commissioning supervisors for our client´s projects in different locations. The position is fix-term position.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Health, Safety and Environmental

–    Comply with Customer’s and client’s HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) rules, as well as with local requirements in the country of the site

–    Work in a safe manner without risk to him/her selves, others or the environment 

–    Obey HSE policy and related instructions

–    Comply with site rules  

–    Report all incidents, near miss cases or HSE risks as instructed o correctly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) 

Commissioning planning

–    Before commissioning several preparative actions need to be taken by the project manager, with support from the Commissioning manager and/or commissioning engineer. 

–    Site control documents to be prepared by Commissioning manager and/or commissioning engineer.

Preparations 

–    The manager commissioning or applicable resource owners are responsible for appointing the commissioning organization. 

–    A commissioning schedule is prepared by the commissioning manager/engineer together with the site planner (when applicable) so that commissioning activities can be made in correct order with installation works

–    A set of commissioning completion documentation, including erection completion acceptance documentation (ECA), is prepared, when needed, for each unit based on the sequence of start of the different systems

–    The commissioning manager/engineer, with support of the project team, provides the necessary commissioning documentation to site

–    The commissioning manager/engineer also support the project team in writing/comment on operating and maintenance manuals (“red pen /as-built” Operating & Maintenance manuals)

Check-out 

–    The commissioning manager is responsible for reporting and updating commissioning progress and activities/findings to project manager

–    The commissioning manager hands-over the signed check-out lists/documents to project manager. The commissioning manager is responsible for reporting the feedback of discrepancies into Client´s Continuous Improvement Tool

–    The commissioning manager, with support from the Project manager is responsible for informing customer receiving a formal acceptance from the customer of the check-out confirming that the plant is ready for start-up

Start-up    

–    The commissioning manager, with support from the Project manager is responsible for informing customer that the start-up/test runs of the plant are completed and the plant ready for take-over.

As-build documentation

–    The Commissioning manager is responsible to arrange collection of process related documentation which is needed for making the as built documents. 

Final acceptance

–    If required, a start-up report is written by the Commissioning manager

Demobilization, closing of site

–    The construction site should be inspected with regard of left-over goods. The results from the inventory are documented and the Project Manager is notified. The Project Manager decides if the goods should be returned

REQUIREMENTS:

–    At least five years of working experience in a similar position as commissioning engineer or similar process equipment’s as a process operator or an operational engineer

–    Has a good understanding of commissioning and startup issues

–    Worked globally for at least two years in a similar position

–    Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) 

–    Very good level of English (Speaking and writing) 

–    Has proved to have capabilities to adopt skills outside his/her discipline
