Sumitomo SHI FW is looking for a

PIPING DESIGNER

to work as an assigned Area Responsible Piping Designer in project execution team. Assignment as Area Responsible Piping Designer offers you a great opportunity to work inside constantly changing international power business. The primary work location is Sosnowiec in Poland or Varkaus in Finland including possibility to work remotely. Espoo office may be considered for highly experienced candidates, or for young candidates after few years.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for plant piping basic and detail design, including the supervision and control of subcontracted design. You will also participate in advisory work of piping prefabrication and site installation. You will communicate and co-operate closely with other Area Responsible Designers, Performance Engineer, Structural Engineer, Detail Designers, Layout Engineer, and Discipline Engineers (Mechanical, Civil and EIC). You will prepare, maintain, and control piping 3D model and will be responsible for the interfaces at internal and external delivery limits. You will guide piping detail design and supervise a schedule and quality of design documents.

Qualifications:

You have suitable technical education (B. Eng. or M. Eng.). The ideal candidate brings a strong design background, with hands-on experience. 3D plant design tools are familiar to you. CADMATIC experience is appreciated but program training will be arranged. Piping stress analysis experience will be a benefit. You have good teamwork skills and ability to solve technical problems. Position also requires good skills in communication, and reasonable readiness to travel.
