Solnet is growing and we are seeking:

Site Manager Utility Scale Solar/Energy storage projects

As a Site Manager, you ensure the seamless execution of large-scale solar power plant and energy storage projects, acting as the on-site deputy officer for the project manager. You are a crucial member of the team, serving as a link between skilled workers and the project manager. You contribute to the project’s technical and economic implementation, leading and distributing ongoing site works accordingly. You are responsible for leading your team and ensuring a positive working environment while collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and authorities. You help ensure our projects are completed on time, within scope, and with high quality.

The role is further structured and clarified based on the background and skills of the person selected for the position.

Your tasks will include:

Managing subcontractors and personnel in site, and allocating resources for works

Planning and taking responsibility for daily production at site

Planning purchases and logistics with the project manager, maintaining contact with suppliers

Maintaining ongoing customer contacts and financial responsibility for your part of the production

Motivating and taking active leadership the team in the execution of work

Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with applicable HSQ requirements and obligations
Conducting work preparations, risk assessments, resource planning, and ordering external services

Ensuring the project is carried out in accordance with Solnet safety regulations and Finnish construction site requirements

Managing customer relationships and communication

Collaborating with other functions within Solnet to ensure efficient project execution

We expect from you:

Experience in infrastructure and/or energy site managerial roles

At least a five years of experience in site manager roles in civil works

Relevant educational background (construction, civil engineering etc.)

Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to work in a team and contribute new ideas

Proficiency in Finnish and English

Willingness to travel as work is conducted where the projects are located

Experience working with clients and subcontractors, and building long-term relationships

Strong ability and ambition to manage site safety

Empathy, attentiveness, and understanding of other people’s perspectives

Entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, and enjoyment of working in a results- and goal-oriented manner
