Solnet is growing and we are seeking:

Lead Electrical Engineer, Utility Scale Solar/Energy storage projects

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will manage collaboration and provide solution services during the engineering and implementation phases of utility-scale solar plants and energy storage projects, focusing on MV-HV power lines, control, and automation related tasks. Projects encompass the entire solution, from low voltage to mid voltage transformers, medium voltage to high voltage substations, and HV grid connections with power plant control systems. Many projects are hybrid models incorporating BESS solutions with necessary control and security measures.

You will be responsible for concept design, support with subcontractor and construction management, and development tasks in our clients’ projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting renewable energy projects with Europe’s leading solar company! The role is further structured and clarified based on the background and skills of the person selected for the position.

Your tasks will include:

Management and supervision of power line transmission/PPC control in PV plants and BESS projects

Development and optimization of technical solutions and engineering

Creating procurement specifications and managing tenders

Collaboration with the team, customers, and stakeholders

Other technical advisory tasks

We expect from you:

5-10+ years of experience in the field of electricity and transmission line projects/energy

Relevant educational background (e.g., electrical or civil engineering)

Experience with applicable standards, substation design, construction, or construction management

Experience with energy storage systems, PPC/SCADA systems is an advantage

Proficiency in design software (CAD)

Ability to work in a team and contribute new ideas

Willingness to travel (mainly within Finland)

Proficiency in Finnish and English
