Open positions, Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority

The Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) is an authority and expert body that supervises radiation and nuclear safety and employs more than 300 experts from different fields. The purpose of STUKs operations is to promote and monitor radiation safety and the safety of the use of nuclear energy. We act in accordance with our values: openly, boldly, appreciatively and in cooperation. The basis for our existence is a healthy agency. We make an effort to maintain a happy work community, high professional skills, strong trust, and sustainable finances.

The Department of Measurements and Environmental Monitoring (VALO) at STUK is tasked with producing radiation-related calibration and measurement services, providing remote and expert support for radiation measurements in the field, and monitoring the radiation safety of the environment nationally and in the areas around nuclear power plants. In addition, the department conducts research related to radiation safety.
