Are you an organized and proactive professional with an interest in procurement and supply chain operations? **We are looking for a Buyer to join our team** and play a key role in ensuring the availability of goods and services that keep our operations running smoothly.
In this role, you will work closely with Suppliers, Sourcing Managers, Finance and Operations, acting as a key link between stakeholders to ensure efficient and reliable procurement processes. This position is also an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate looking to start their career in procurement especially if you have an interest in industrial or mechanical environments.
**As a Buyer, you will:**
– Ensure availability of goods and services within your scope
– Manage pricing, purchase requisitions, orders, and confirmations
– Maintain and update procurement master data
– Conduct RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and price checks
– Monitor deliveries and support on-time performance
– Handle invoice and claim resolution with Finance and Operations
– Support stakeholders and collaborate with Sourcing Managers
– Drive the automation of routine tasks by developing e-procurement tools and applying Lean principles to enhance P2P processes
**What We Expect From You**
– Bachelors degree in business, logistics, engineering, or a related field
– Experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain tasks is an advantage (experience in the steel industry is a plus)
– Basic understanding of procurement and sourcing processes
– Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
– Fluency in English; Finnish language skills are considered an asset
– It is considered an advantage if you have mechanical knowledge for example, experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
– You can also be a soon-to-graduate engineer eager to grow into a procurement role
