Lead Developer, OneStream Forecasting

Job Summary:The OneStream Forecasting Lead Developer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining technical solutions within Outokumpu’s OneStream platform, with a primary focus on driver-based forecasting models. As part of the Financial Planning and Consolidation (FP&C) Team, the OneStream FP&A Developer will work closely with the Managerial and Forecasting Model owners, key super users, and the OneStream Administration team to ensure that all development work aligns with business requirements, technical standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Development, Implementation & Continuous Improvement:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance planning solutions in the OneStream platform.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and model owners to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain scalable and efficient planning models to support business needs.
Oversee the deployment of planning solutions and ensure smooth transitions from development to production.
Ensure adherence to best practices in system architecture, data modeling, and integration.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality and user experience.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications and user guides.

Performance Optimization & Best Practices:

Identify and implement optimization techniques to improve system speed, scalability, and efficiency.
Conduct regular system performance assessments and proactively address bottlenecks.
Optimize financial models for scenario analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Automate data integration from ERP systems, financial databases, and other sources to enhance model efficiency.
Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex system issues.
Stay updated on financial modeling trends, technologies, and best practices to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
Provide OneStream expertise on technology/process improvements and upgrades.

Qualifications & Skills:
Required:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in planning solution development, with at least 2 years in a lead or development management role.
Strong expertise in planning and driver-based forecasting tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, SAP BPC, Oracle Planning Cloud, etc.).
Proficiency in programming languages such as VB.NET, C#, Python, Java.
Experience with relational databases and SQL.
Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and database management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Business partner across the entire planning and forecasting system in the design, implementation, and delivery of FP&A requirements.

Preferred:

Hands-on experience developing solutions within the OneStream platform.
Understanding of OneStream Business Rules and VB.NET scripting.
OneStream Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
Exposure to machine learning or AI-driven financial modeling is a plus.
