Senior Lecturer in Business Analytics

Metropolia Business School (MBS) is a modern, international, and future-oriented business school committed to excellence in learning and teaching. We are seeking a Senior Lecturer in Business Analytics to join our team. This is a full-time position, starting in August 2025.

Key Responsibilities

– Teaching IT and Business Analytics at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Topics may include:

– Business and Data Analytics

– Data Processing and Visualization

– Emerging AI tools for data analysis

– IT tools and digital transformation technologies

– Other related subjects

– Supervising and evaluating students thesis work and development projects

– Participating in RDI and lifelong learning projects

What We Are Looking For

– A Masters degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of professional experience in business

– Expertise in several modern business intelligence, analytics, and digital transformation tools, as well as statistical theory and data analytics.

– A genuine enthusiasm for learning and teaching and sharing your expertise with others

– Practical experience in developing data-driven business practices from messy data to meaningful decisions including familiarity with ETL processes in a modern organizational context

– Ability to understand complex topics and explain them clearly to learners

– A proven track record of professional growth in business analytics and a passion for continuous learning

– Enthusiasm for teaching, supervising, and mentoring students and professionals

– Fluent English skills; Finnish is an advantage but not a key requirement

– Pedagogical qualifications (can be completed within three years of employment)
