Backend Developer (Spring Boot) – Click to Pay

For our client, we are looking for a Backend Developer (Spring Boot) – Click to Pay / Passkeys (Mastercard & Visa APIs) for an exciting project within payment authentication.

Description:
We have recently released support for the Click to Pay payment method in co-operation with Visa and Mastercard. The next step is to implement support for passkeys in payment authentication. The assignment will involve service and client development towards Mastercard (and Visa) APIs to enroll and manage passkeys, ensuring secure and seamless authentication for end users.

The ideal consultant has strong experience in Spring Boot backend microservice development and is comfortable working in a modern integration-heavy environment. Experience from mobile development and authentication technologies is considered a strong advantage.

Must-have knowledge and experience:
– Spring Boot backend microservice development
– Strong ability to document the application and related specifications

Personal qualities:
– Ability to learn and follow through on complex and demanding processes
– Persistent, proactive, and highly self-driven

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience:
– iOS/Android client development
– Passkeys
– WebAuthn protocol knowledge

Candidates selected for this position will be required to present a clear credit record.

Location: Helsinki, remote 50 %
Start date: 16.3.2026
End date: 31.7.2026. possible extension
Allocation: 100 %
Language: Fluent in English
