TECHNOLOGY & PROCESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST 

We are now seeking an ambitious and innovative Technology & Process Development Specialist for our global Facility & Technology Innovation team in a permanent position at our head office in Helsinki. This is a new role within our company, offering a unique opportunity to shape and grow with us from the ground up. Join our team and help us make a difference!  

Your key contribution areas 

As a Technology & Process Development Specialist, you will explore and develop new technical solutions and processes in Lindström’s operations. You will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and sustainability initiatives, such as building our path to Net Zero laundry by 2050.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Drive the development and application of technical solutions, including machinery, robotics, automation, and process control 

  • Actively scout suitable technologies and collaborate with suppliers 

  • Prepare and execute development roadmaps to enhance the sustainability of our operations 

  • Enable the integration and utilisation of renewable energy sources in our processes 

  • Plan and prepare pilot projects, and participate in global testing and validation of new technologies 

  • Lead development projects and adapt technologies into concepts in collaboration with other experts 

As this is a global role supporting our international operations, you will have the opportunity to travel and collaborate across Lindström countries.  

What helps you to shine in this role? 

We are looking for a proactive team member eager to find and build innovative technical solutions and processes. With a background in production or process automation, you understand how process changes can improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary work, and enhance quality. Your enthusiasm for developing and presenting ideas, coupled with your ability to see the big picture and drive changes forward in the long run, will be key to success.  

To thrive in this role, you should have:  

  • At least a few years of experience in industrial technologies  

  • A relevant technical degree (minimum bachelor’s degree) 

  • Excellent analytical and technical skills  

  • A solid understanding of process development, maintainability of equipment, and automation and robotics 

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken 

  • Readiness to travel 

Your key people 

You will be part of our global Operations and Supply Chain function, specifically the Facility and Technology Innovation group and the new Technology Development team of four professionals. Our team is dedicated to making Lindström a forerunner in sustainable and effective opportunities by designing and implementing technologies and facilities that support our strategy. We are a highly collaborating team that fosters an innovative and caring spirit. In this role, you will work closely with our partners, as well as with our operations concept development and capacity management experts, to integrate technologies into our operations.
