TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST, ENERGY & UTILITIES 

We are seeking a new Technology Development Specialist for our global Facility and Technology Innovation team in a permanent position at our head office in Helsinki. Join our team and help us make a difference! 

Your Key Contribution Areas

As a Technology Development Specialist focused on energy and utilities, you will explore and develop new technologies for Lindström operations and laundries from the energy perspective. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive the development and application of technical solutions relating to laundry energy (including energy balance planning, heat solutions, energy cost management, and energy and utilities measurement systems)
  • Assess and scout new technologies on the market
  • Prepare and execute development roadmaps to drive sustainability of operations
  • Enable the utilization of renewable energy sources in operation processes
  • Lead development projects and manage technology concepts 

As this is a global role supporting our international operations, you will have the opportunity to travel and collaborate across Lindström countries. 

What Helps You to Shine in This Role?

We are looking for a proactive team member with an analytical approach and a background in energy technology. You will benefit from having strong communication skills and a wide network of contacts, which you use effectively when looking for new technologies.

 To succeed in this role, you should have:     

  • At least 2 years of experience in maintaining and developing technical solutions in the energy and utilities sector or equivalent
  • A relevant technical degree (minimum bachelor’s degree)
  • A knowledge of energy flows and an ability to apply techniques together 
  • A good understanding of process development, maintainability of equipment, and electrical systems
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
  • Readiness to travel

Your Key People

You will be part of our global Operations and Supply Chain function, specifically the Facility and Technology Innovation group and the new Technology Development team. Our team is dedicated to making Lindström a forerunner in sustainable and effective opportunities by designing and implementing technologies and facilities that support our strategy. You will work closely with our partners, as well as with our operations concept development and capacity management professionals, to integrate technologies into laundries. We are a highly collaborating team that fosters an innovative and caring team spirit.
