The GROOM Barbershop chain is expanding, and we are now looking for new entrepreneurs in different parts of Finland.

Sometimes a company is created through careful planning. GROOM was created by coincidence.

In 2005, I was working in sales within the hairdressing industry and represented a mens product line called American Crew. I strongly believed in the product, even though the market wasnt quite ready for it yet.

One day in downtown Helsinki I noticed a sign in the window of an old barbershop saying the shops equipment was for sale. Inside were a couple of Belmont barber chairs that immediately caught my attention. I called the seller and asked if I could buy just one chair. However, the seller wanted to sell everything at once and asked me to make an offer for the entire equipment.

I deliberately made a very small offer so I could quietly get out of the situation.

To my surprise, the offer was accepted.

Suddenly I owned the equipment of a barbershop. Since cancelling the deal was not really an option, we decided to do the only sensible thing: open a barbershop.

That is how GROOM was born, founded by Sami and Sanna. Over the years it has grown into a Finnish family business and a well-known mens barbershop chain. The concept has been refined, the brand has strengthened, and customers visit our shops every day.

Now we are looking for an entrepreneur to open a new GROOM barbershop.
