Finnair Technical Operations division’s task is to execute Finnair’s flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.
We are now looking for a
TECHNICAL TRAINING & COMPLIANCE ENGINEER
to support and facilitate Technical Operations, training planning and
authorization processes. This role includes keeping training events as an instructor, organizing and conducting competence development and training activities as well as developing and maintaining related digital tools and databases.
In this role, you are responsible for delivering technical training within the scope of Part 145, covering both initial and recurrent training, and Part 147 type training for both internal and external participants. You will prepare high quality training materials, including eLearning content and course schedules, ensuring that all learning resources meet regulatory and organizational standards. Additionally, you are accountable for preparing and processing official course documentation in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders, supporting the overall compliance and effectiveness of the training program.
In this role, you will:
– Act as an instructor in technical training courses in scope of Part 145 and Part147.
– Lead and facilitate competence management processes.
– Identify competence development needs in Technical Operations.
– Create, develop and maintain Technical Operations competence management and training plans.
– Lead and facilitate co-operation with external stakeholders, e.g. partner schools, training providers, and authorities.
– Coordinate and lead learning and competence development activities with internal stakeholders or external service providers.
– Develop and simplify authorization and qualifications.
processes of aircraft maintenance production staff e.g. licensed aircraft engineers
– Lead and facilitate process development activities in Technical Operations.
– Support process digitalization and digital tool development related to competence management, training, authorizations, and qualifications.
– Identify, follow, and implement changes in regulations into processes and actions.
From you, we wish:
– Minimum 5 years of experience working in positions related to aircraft maintenance, training, competence management, or similar.
– Experience in technical training and training planning.
– Previous background in aircraft maintenance and technical training matters.
– Fluent English and Finnish, both written and spoken. Ability to perform theoretical and/or practical training in both languages.
– Good knowledge of aviation requirements in Part 66, 145, 147, and CAMO/M areas.
– Strong coordination, organizational, and prioritization skills.
– Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
– Good knowledge of human factors in aviation.
– Strong teamwork and communications skills.
– Good pedagogical skills.
– Strong project management and process development skills.
– Ability to withstand pressure.
– Drivers license (B)
– Suitable masters or bachelors degree or other relevant technical education.
– Pedagogical education or equivalent experience and skills.
