Job Summary
The Business Controller to the region Finland + the Baltics, drives results through strong ownership of varies aspects of financial activities, which aims to ensure the regions financial performance & goals with the organizations strategic objectives. This role includes working with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning & analysis and risk management. The business controller, as a part of IVC Evidensia Nordic Business Control Unit, provides business partnering support for the region Finland and the Baltics. Additionally, when required, the role provides support to the other Nordic countries. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in commercial finance.
This position is fixed-term, approximately 12 months.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

Business Partnering
Act as a finance business partner to the Finance Director, CEO, and other key stakeholders, driving development, growth, and performance in the region.

Business Operations & Control
– Ensure regular monitoring of financial performance metrics and KPIs.
– Lead business performance analysis and comparisons against targets, budgets, and forecasts.
– Identify issues and opportunities and collaborate with the leadership team to capitalize on them.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis
– Participate in or take ownership of various aspects of regional planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
– Present business partnering analyses to operations managers, providing performance analysis and follow-ups.
– Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
– Present financial insights and reports to local leadership and key stakeholders.

Support veterinary clinics
– Support veterinary leaders with key business initiatives such as significant contract negotiations, CAPEX, acquisitions, integrations, systems, and process improvements

Reporting
– Ensure accurate and timely reporting of consolidated results to the group and local teams.
– Demonstrate a strong understanding of performance drivers.
– Develop and streamline financial follow-up in consultation with the Head of Business Control for regional and clinic managers.

Other Responsibilities
– Support and collaborate with different parts of the organization, including business development and financial control.
– Participate in various internal development projects aimed at streamlining processes and procedures within the Nordic region.

Related Job Requirements / Qualifications
The requirements of the positions may be adjusted for the candidate’s interests and background.

– 4-8 years of experience in financial analysis and business controlling. Responsibilities may be adjusted for more senior candidates (10+ years).
– Strong persuasion and influencing skills.
– Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish, including articulation and presentation.
– Proficiency in Swedish is considered a plus.
– Self-motivated and proactive.
– Advanced Excel skills.
– Experience with reporting systems or BI solutions (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate) is a plus.
