Principal Consultant, Industrial Agentic AI

Etteplan is strengthening its Advisory Services capabilities and is now looking for a Principal Consultant, Industrial Agentic AI to join our newly established Advisory team within Software and Embedded Solutions (SES).

In this role, you will take a leading, SESlevel responsibility for Agentic AI, helping customers and internal teams translate ambition into concrete, scalable outcomes across industrial software, embedded systems, and connected products.

Your role

As a Principal Consultant, Industrial Agentic AI, you operate at the intersection of industrial domain understanding, advanced AI architectures, and software & embedded engineering practices. You lead earlyphase engagements, helping customers frame complex challenges, assess feasibility and maturity, and define clear directions for adopting Agentic AI in industrial contexts.

You act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ensuring continuity from advisory work into implementation and delivery. In parallel, you play a key role in building and scaling Etteplans internal Agentic AI capabilities, acting as a role model and technical leader across Advisory Services and Business Units.

Your main responsibilities include
– Leading earlyphase client engagements related to Agentic AI, including discovery, framing, feasibility assessment, and directionsetting in industrial environments. – Advising customers on Agentic AI adoption, focusing on robustness, scalability, safety, and value creation in real production systems. – Translating industrial challenges into clear agentbased AI problem statements, architectures, and roadmaps. – Supporting sales and presales by providing insight, credibility, and technical leadership in strategic customer discussions. – Ensuring continuity from advisory work into implementation, collaborating closely with delivery teams and architects. – Contributing to the development and refinement of Etteplans Agentic AI offerings, methods, and best practices. – Acting as a capability builder and mentor, helping develop lead engineers and architects across Business Units. – Driving an AIfirst mindset in how software and embedded systems are designed, developed, and maintained in industrial contexts.
What you bring
– Advisory & consulting capabilities – Strong ability to bridge strategy and execution in complex, ambiguous environments. – Experience leading clientfacing advisory engagements and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. – Clear, structured communicator able to operate across executive, architectural, and engineering levels. – Outcomedriven mindset with focus on measurable business and operational impact. – Agentic AI & technology expertise – Deep expertise in Agentic AI concepts and architectures, such as autonomous agents, multiagent systems, toolusing agents, and orchestration patterns. – Strong understanding of industrial AI requirements, including reliability, observability, safety, and lifecycle management. – Experience applying AI in industrial software, embedded, edge, or hybrid cloudedge environments. – Solid foundation in modern software engineering and architecture, with understanding of embedded and hardwareconstrained environments.
Experience & background
– Typically 8+ years in consulting, advisory, advanced technology, or other senior clientfacing roles. – Background in industrial, manufacturing, energy, automotive, defense, or other complex engineeringdriven domains. – Experience with AIenabled transformation initiatives, platform development, or largescale software modernization. – Ability to operate comfortably in international and multidisciplinary environments.
