Etteplan’s Application Lifecycle Management department as part of Cloud, Applications and Testing Business Unit is accountable of solution maintenance lifecycle activities in customer projects. Help Desk 2 and Help Desk 3 levels of service are the cornerstones of the service model this unit offers 24/7 for customers. Tens of experts are managing a wide variety of customer tasks daily basis. We are supporting customers globally, but the main focus is in Finland currently. We are seeking a new department manager to lead this unit in Finland.

As a department manager, you will lead and coach your department’s team manager and other experts. Your account for the department’s profit & loss, being accountable for growth and profitability targets. You are engaged in managing customer relationships and related sales cases as well as ensuring the success of particularly the assignments most important for your unit. You ensure that your department has clear competence development plans, including timely recruiting and training & development of your people. You will actively build cooperation with other departments in your business unit as well as Etteplan wide. You will be supported by your superiors, the department’s team managers, our service functions, and experienced sales professionals. We currently apply a flexible hybrid work model, but your job will be based at our Tampere office.

Your daily work will include coaching and managing your current organization, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability of the assignment portfolio, and planning competence development in alignment with customer needs. You will establish and foster long-term relationships with key customers, actively contributing to their growth. Your customer-driven approach and balanced combination of short-and-long term planning and decision-making capability will lead to the department’s renewal and success.

To succeed in your role, we expect the following:
– At least 5 years’ experience in leading service delivery teams, preferably IT service teams in the range of 15-30 people at least.
– Proven success in building teams and managing growing IT consulting operations.
– Profit & loss management experience, including meeting growth and profitability objectives and reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
– Solid understanding of modern IT service delivery processes and tools in B2B business.
– Several years of experience in direct customer relationships with engaged customer service and an experienced attitude.
– You don’t hesitate to contact customers and negotiate with them new sales contracts like wise consulting extensions etc.
– Inspiring approach to leading and coaching people.
– The character with determination, forward-looking, problem-solving and pressure tolerance.
– Applicable academic degree.
– Proficient in Finnish and English.
