Project Controller

Job Description / Responsibilities

Schedule Management

  • Prepare and manage the integrated project schedule across all phases.
  • Elaborate, update, and revise schedules in close coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Lead the project team in progress measurement, with special focus on critical path and milestone achievements.
  • Monitor and control project schedule, coordinating with internal department/stakeholders to ensure alignment with planned timelines.
  • Conduct weekly progress reporting and schedule performance reviews.

Cost Control & Resource Optimization

  • Monitor and control key project cost drivers to ensure budget adherence.
  • Bridge gaps between schedule control and cost escalation through proactive analysis.
  • Track actual WHR(man-hours) and costs versus authorized values; generate downtime analysis reports.
  • Eliminate inefficient resource usage and improve utilization through asking rate analysis.
  • Monitor and allocate appropriate resources to streamline project delivery.

Stakeholder & Interface Management

  • Coordinate with Engineers, Designers, and other departments/stakeholders to compile and finalize work hours.
  • Manage interfaces across EPIC phases to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Monitor changes and assess their impact on schedule, cost, and man-hours; prepare documentation for claims.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client-side stakeholders to facilitate change and claims resolution. 
  • Conduct Client PMT reviews or audits and address any issues while maintaining control over schedule and cost.

IT Skills

Project Management – Agile Methodologies, waterfall Methodologies, Scrum, Stakeholder Engagement,  Client and Vendor Relation, Task Prioritization, Resource Allocation   

Software Tools – MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, MS Office Suite 

Soft Skills

  1. Excellent problem solving and time management skill.    
  2. Self-motivated and highly organized                            
  3. Ability to work in groups/as a part of team
  4. Maintain performance in demanding situations

Qualification

B.Sc – Computer Science

BE / B.Tech – Chemical / Mechanical

Relevant Experience

• 10 – 15 years (in case of B.Sc )

• 8 to 10 Years (in case of B.E/B.Tech)
