Junior & Senior Process Design Engineers

We are looking for Junior & Senior Process Design Engineers for customer projects in our Industry Business Unit. 

Your area of responsibility includes tasks related to process engineering, process development, process technology screening, process safety and other process engineering tasks. With solid process engineering expertise, you will be able to work depending on your experience either member of process team or have own responsibilities and be in customer responsible role in a project.

You operate strongly in the customer interface, where our customers expect expertise and an active approach to work. Creative problem-solving skills and adapting design solutions to the needs of our customers come naturally to you. The role also requires an understanding of the tasks of other areas of design in order to perceive the functionality of plant entities.

You can work at Elomatic office in Jyväskylä, Turku, Tampere or Espoo, Finland.

What we expect from you

• Master’s degree in engineering, for example, with emphases in process engineering, chemical engineering, energy technologies, bioprocessing, pulping/paper technology, food technology 
• Experience (minimum 1 – 5 years but we are also interested experienced designers) in process engineering, process engineering process is familiar to you and deliverables of process engineering (PFD, PID, Datasheets etc.). 
• In addition to a theoretical foundation, we value practical experience in industry sector. experience as energy-/process-/chemical industry or bio-/ food processes.
• You are familiar with industry-related process technologies and production processes as well as industrial unit operations and thermodynamics
• Flexibility and positive attitude
• Ability to perceive the big picture
• Good written and oral expression skills
• Proficiency in Finnish and English, other language skills are considered an advantage
• Willingness to travel
