Your role and the team 

Join us as we strengthen our professional CFD team, where our core strengths lie in the energy and process industries, as well as the aerospace and marine sectors. You will join a highly competent and supportive technical computing community of over 60 technical computing professionals, approximately 15 of whom specialize in fluid dynamics. 

The position can be based at our offices in Turku, Espoo or Tampere, please let us know your preferred location in your application! 

As a Consulting Engineer, you’ll get to work in wide range of interesting fluid engineering challenges and close collaboration with customers. That’s why we’re a looking for new colleague with strong understanding of fluid physics, as well as a genuine interest to learn and develop with us in the rapidly evolving field of fluid dynamics.

As part of our CFD team, your responsibilities include numerical modelling and simulation, participation in project work and customer interfaces, and based on your interests contributing to the development of our fluid dynamics capabilities and methods. We work with leading industry-standard CFD and technical computing tools and have the computational capacity to handle even large and complex simulation projects.

What helps you succeed in this role

• A relevant university degree
• A couple of years of experience in computational fluid dynamics and related software
• Strong theoretical understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer and/or chemical reactions
• Proficiency in key CFD tools such as Ansys (Fluent, CFX), Star-CCM+ or FINFLO
• Fluency in Finnish and English and an active and collaborative approach to teamwork
• Willingness to work in the customer interface
• Interest in and/or background within Elomatic’s focus areas, such as hydrogen and its derivatives, SMR, aerospace and marine technologies
• Curiosity and motivation to learn and adopt new technologies
