Turku International School is a vibrant and innovative community. It is the only school in the Turku region whose curriculum is provided fully in English.
The successful performance of the task requires experience-based competence in pedagogical, HR and financial management. The ability to use administrative software and versatile ICT skills are considered advantageous.

Applicants are also expected to have:

Good command of English (the working language) and Finnish (stakeholder cooperation)
Understanding of international and multicultural operating environments
Experience of working in an international school in Finland and/or abroad
Willingness and readiness to promote changes (change management)
A vision for the need to grow and develop the international school according to the city strategy
Stakeholder cooperation skills

The International School is a comprehensive school of 250 pupils. It will operate in Varissuo in the autumn semester 2025 but will then move to a new school building in Kupittaa in January 2026.

The necessary qualification requirements are determined by the Decree on Qualification Requirements for Teaching Staff (986/98).
The person chosen for the position must provide their employer with an account of their state of health (Laki kunnan ja hyvinvointialueen viranhaltijasta 304/2003, section 7) and an extract from the criminal records referred to in section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (Act on Checking the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children, 504/2002). This public-service employment relationship is subject to a six-month trial period.
