R&D Project Manager, Systems & Options
We are looking for an R&D Project Manager with strong systemlevel understanding of complex engineering products to lead the development of advanced cooling system projects within our Systems & Options product team.This role plays a key part in shaping a strategically important new product, ensuring it is developed in a structured, systemlevel manner and brought to a state of full product readiness. You will work at the intersection of technology, product development, and productization, driving complex development projects from early planning through design completion and readiness for productization.If you are motivated by highend technology, complex systems, and working at the forefront of cryogenic solutions for quantum computing, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact.In this position, you will have endtoend ownership of cooling system development projects. You are responsible for driving structured execution, aligning technical content with schedules and priorities, and ensuring the resulting solution is technically complete, systemintegrated, and scalable.You operate at system level, coordinating multiple disciplines and guiding projectlevel decisions throughout the development phase. We have a multicultural work environment with room to grow, where you can use your potential and develop your skills.Main responsibilities:Own and lead cooling system projects from planning through design completion and product readinessDefine and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risksDrive execution, followup, and closure across all workstreamsAct as the systemlevel project owner, ensuring a coherent, integrated cryogenic solution across subsystems and optionsEnsure system requirements, interfaces, and dependencies are clearly defined and managedDrive alignment on modularity, scalability, and configurability of the remote cooling solutionLead and coordinate crossfunctional teams without direct line authorityFacilitate alignment between teams, clarify ownership, and remove blockersWhat we expect from youExperience in complex engineered products, example; cryogenics, low-temperature systems, vacuum deposition systemsDegree in physics, engineering, or another relevant technical fieldStrong and proven project management skills in complex technical or hardware development projectsAbility to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution without direct line authorityStructured, proactive, and delivery-oriented way of workingStrong understanding of cryogenic systems; familiarity with Bluefors products or equivalent highend cryogenic solutions is highly beneficialExperience translating technical complexity into executable project plansAbility to balance technical depth with schedule, scope, and prioritization decisionsExcellent collaboration and communication skills in multi-stakeholder environmentFluency in English, written and spokenWillingness to travel occasionallyWe also appreciateExperience with modular cooling product architecturesBackground in productization, industrialization, or NPIFamiliarity with configuration management, variants, and optionsPositive, handson attitude with strong problemsolving skillsCuriosity and passion for highend technologyPlease apply as soon as possible, on April 20, 2026, at the latest through our recruitment system at BLUEFORS.COM.
