Electrical Engineer for Heating Plant Projects
Barona Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our client’s development of modern heating plant projects in Espoo.
This role offers an opportunity to work with new, electricity-based industrial heating solutions such as electrode boilers, energy storage systems, heat pump technologies, and other largescale electrical systems used in industrial applications. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders, making strong collaboration skills, initiative, and a structured approach essential.
In this position, you will be responsible for the detailed design of industrial electrical systems and for ensuring highquality technical solutions. Your work will include the comprehensive design of high and lowvoltage systems, the application of electrical standards and good installation practices, and the technical assessment of LV/HV equipment. You will also perform grounding and shortcircuit calculations, carry out system sizing, design cabling and switchgear solutions, and critically review system requirements and process integrations. The role also includes participating in development activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes. Proficiency in engineering and calculation software-such as Autodesk Electrical and various electrical system calculation tools-is expected.
We are looking for someone with at least ten years of experience in designing and procuring electrical systems for energy plants or industrial facilities. Solid experience with components such as GIS/AIS switchgear, transformers, variablefrequency converters, and other HV/LV equipment is highly valued. We also appreciate the ability to evaluate electrical design from a technical and processdriven perspective and to work independently while managing complex technical tasks.
