Technical Support Specialist, Hyvinkää

About the role

This role is crucial for our client’s global spares supply unit, focusing on centralizing repair material spend. You will be providing material identification and process support to local teams in different countries. You’ll work within a small, international team, reporting to the Technical Field Support Manager.

This role is located in Hyvinkää and you are expected to work from the office at least three days a week.

Work tasks

This role involves supporting frontline operations by managing and identifying materials within a centralized supply chain. You will clarify complex orders, establish new processes for procurement, and ensure efficient material flow for global repair and service operations.
– Identify materials using various tools including Product Information Portal (PIP), PDM, and open web sources.
– Support purchase order management for high priority cases.
– Assist the purchasing team in finding suppliers for requested materials when necessary.
– Collaborate with the trade compliance team to secure trade data for non-EU import/export.
– Provide material identification support to local repair teams.

We are looking for

– Relevant technical background and ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
– Good knowledge of MS Office tools.
– Good English communication skills.
– A proactive self-starter who takes initiative to push projects forward and ensures tasks stay on track
– An active communicator who isnt afraid to reach out to stakeholders

It is meritorious if you have
– Relevant engineering degree
– Familiarity with purchase order management, sourcing or procurement.
– Knowledge of SAP and PDM.
– Basic knowledge of German and/or French
