Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Warranty Engineer to join ABB Oy, Marine & Ports Division and our Marine Propulsion business line, Large Azipod® in Vuosaari, Helsinki.

Working within the warranty team provides an excellent opportunity to comprehend customer needs and engage with various technical aspects that span the entire spectrum of Large Azipod® supply. As a Warranty Engineer, you will help provide optimal technical solutions – in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including R&D, logistics and service teams. We value a self-starter, who not only raises important questions, but also brings their own solution suggestions to the discussion.

This position reports to Manager, Warranty.

You will be mainly accountable for:
– Helping to identify and resolve technical questions related to warranty claims for several simultaneous Large Azipod® projects
– Collaborating with the Warranty Team and providing optimal technical solutions in a timely manner
– Occasional international travel to meet with customers

Qualifications for the role:
– A proven track record in resolving technical warranty claims or other relevant work experience working with marine propulsion products
– A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical, Mechanical or Automation Engineering
– Other previous experience in marine technology, service, or the shipping/maritime business are an advantage in the role
– Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in Finnish is considered an advantage
– A systematic and independent approach to work, ability to work seamlessly in a multicultural business environment
– A positive attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
