Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Production Supervisor at ABB Oy, System Drives division in Helsinki, Pitäjänmäki.

In this role you will be responsible for supervising production team in engineer-to-order product assembly, and continuous improvement of production processes.
As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily assembly line operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. You will manage, train, and motivate a team, enforce safety protocols, and implement quality control measures. Additionally, you will troubleshoot issues, maintain production records, and promote and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with production planners, engineers, and various stakeholders.

This position reports to Production Line Manager.

You will be mainly accountable for:
– Supervising production line’s assembly team
– Facilitating continuous improvement and safety in production line
– Ensuring timely delivery of quality products by efficient resource management and elimination of process disturbances
– Leading the daily work of highly skilled assembly team and following up production KPI’s (safety, quality, OTD, productivity)
– Ensuring that we reach set development targets with a positive attitude

Qualifications for the role:
– A few years of supervisor experience is essential
– Ability to demonstrate your knowledge of production and logistics processes
– Advanced organizing skills and a development-oriented mindset with a hands-on working attitude is relevant
– Understanding of Lean principles and basic quality management methods is essential
– The ability to motivate your team through a positive attitude is relevant
– You are at ease communicating in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
– Good MS Office skills. Experience with production SAP or in another ERP system
– B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, industrial management or in a related field
