Director of Operations

The Director of Operations at Round plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and profitable business operations. With a strategic oversight of day-to-day activities, this role translates high-level plans into actionable steps, ensuring alignment with company goals across all departments.

Responsibilities

Leading Our Teams:
– Oversee and support the bakery management team in quality control, production efficiency, ongoing product development, and cost management.
– Oversee customer experience, coffee quality, and operational management at each site to ensure productivity and profitability.

Marketing and Campaigns:
– Work closely with the marketing team and Head of Campaigns to design and implement effective product campaigns within a well-structured budget.

Financial Performance:
– Manage raw material, staffing, and rental costs and budgets.
– Demonstrate strong expertise in raw material management, productivity, and sales growth. Implement best practices if targets are not met.

Operations Development:
– Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring products and services exceed expectations.
– Identify and develop new business opportunities by analyzing market trends and translating strategies into actionable steps.

People Management:
– Actively engage and motivate team members, fostering a culture of collaboration.
– Set clear goals and expectations for the team, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their objectives.

Key Skills:
– 5+ years in a leadership role.
– 7+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry with a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs.
– Strong leadership and team management skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with all stakeholders.
– Advanced business planning knowledge and familiarity with regulatory issues.
– Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics.
– Ability to diagnose and proactively address potential problems.
