EU coordinator
LUT University’s Research Services is seeking an EU coordinator for LUT Universities.
We are seeking a service-minded EU coordinator to strengthen the interest representation and visibility of LUT University and the LAB University of Applied Sciences within the EU and to enhance the institutions’ opportunities for securing research funding from the EU (especially Horizon Europe).
Your job will be to promote LUT Universities’ interest representation in the EU, oversee related coordination activities, and enhance networking related to research funding programmes. Your tasks will include planning LUT Universities’ interest representation in the EU, executing it together with organisation management, researchers, and support services, and providing information and training on EU matters. The tasks will be specified based on the competencies of the appointed applicant.
We expect strong expertise in the preparation and decision-making processes, interest representation, and networks in the EU. In addition, we appreciate experience in EU research funding programmes. The position requires excellent collaboration and negotiation skills and a genuine desire to help LUT Universities’ researchers and experts apply for EU funding successfully. A university master’s degree is a requirement; a doctoral degree is considered an advantage. In addition, we require fluency in English. Finnish and/or French skills are considered an advantage.
We offer meaningful work, a highly skilled work community, an encouraging team, and flexible opportunities to balance work and personal life. We support our staff members in maintaining and developing their expertise. Join a professional community that is known for its curiosity and for getting things done.
The work starts during 2025; the start date is negotiable. The employment relationship is permanent and full-time, and it starts with a six-month trial period.
The job is located in either Lappeenranta or Lahti, Finland. In addition, the job involves travel especially to Brussels, which may later become the position’s permanent location. Partial remote work is also possible.
The pay is determined according to the university salary system and its pay scale for expert and support staff. The position’s requirement level is 11 (EUR 4228.12/month). In addition, the pay includes a personal performance-based salary element. Starter salaries for equivalent positions usually range between EUR 4200 and 4600 a month.
