Engineering Lead

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead to our client to build and guide their team focused on improving the infrastructure behind our clients desktop products. The role centers on team leadership while driving enhancements in build systems, deployment, customization, dependencies, and test infrastructure.

Your Impact As an Engineering Lead, you create an environment where people and products thrive. You ensure clarity, maintain flow in the teams work, support decisionmaking, and build trust in how the team collaborates.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, mentor, and support a small development team.
· Improve product customization, deployment flows, build performance, dependency management, and test infrastructure.
· Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and other engineering teams. · Facilitate decisionmaking, maintain delivery flow, and provide technical oversight.
· Focus ~70% on leadership, ~30% on coding.

Tech stack:
· Languages: .NET (C#) and C++
· Build & Deployment: Azure DevOps Pipelines, .NET solutions & projects, nuget and vcpkg
· Tools: Windows, Visual Studio and Advanced Installer

Must have:
· Handson experience with .NET (C#).
· Understanding of build pipelines, dependency management, or test automation.
· Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder skills.
· A growth mindset and a passion for enabling others to succeed

Nice to have:
· Experience leading or coordinating software teams (e.g. Engineering Lead, Senior Developer with leadership duties, Scrum Master or DevOps Lead ready for broader responsibility).
· Familiarity with C++.
· Experience with product customization.
· Knowledge of Azure DevOps, NuGet, vcpkg, or similar tools.
· Background in improving engineering processes or infrastructure.
