Technology Lead Telecom Backend & Cloud Telecom Systems

Our client Infosys is seeking an experienced Technology Lead Telecom Backend & Cloud to work with enterprise applications within the telecom industry. This role is ideal for a handson technical expert who thrives in complex environments and enjoys leading development initiatives across backend, frontend, cloud, and DevOps.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprisegrade telecom applications.
– Work across backend technologies including Java, Spring Boot, JBoss, Wildfly, MySQL, and Apache Artemis for messaging.
– Contribute to telephonyrelated development using SIP signaling.
– Oversee UI development for React, iOS (Apple Developer Enterprise), and Android (Android Studio) applications.
– Drive DevOps practices using GitHub, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, ZAP security scanning, and Postman for API testing.
– Support cloud and infrastructure operations across Kubernetes, Rancher, Amazon EKS, EC2, RDS, and UPCloud.
– Ensure observability and monitoring through Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and OpenTelemetry (OTEL).
– Work with streaming and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
– Manage and optimize networking and web server configurations using NGINX and Apache.
– Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, provide technical guidance, and ensure highquality delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
– 10+ years of overall industry experience, including at least 8 years in relevant technologies.
– Strong expertise in the full technology stack listed above (backend, UI, DevOps, cloud, observability, networking).
– Proven experience working in the telecom domain.
– Ability to lead technical initiatives, solve complex problems, and work independently in a hybrid environment.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
This is a fixedterm (approx. 9 months project) fulltime position based in Helsinki, Finland (hybrid), starting as soon as possible.
