Your role and the team 

Join us at Elomatic as we strengthen our Business Development capability in our emerging and growing digital business area. We’re hiring preferably to one of our office locations, Espoo, Turku, Tampere, Jyväskylä or Oulu — just tell us your preferred location in your application!

As a Business Developer, you will take responsibility for establishing, pushing and growing the digital service offering and drive development activities for our new business area. In addition, your role will be connected to the development process of our software solutions – from communication and business steering to supporting sales, participating in sales activities, and delivering training. 

As a seasoned professional, you will also be expected to bring in best practices and knowhow from business development or sales roles, from an industrial B2B setting. Workshopping on new service concepts or product features and taking the ideas from workshop table to pilot projects with our customers and onward to our permanent offering is one of the focal activities in this position. Working closely with our business units, you will leverage Elomatic’s full range of engineering design and consulting services to create value for our clients.

Our ideal candidate already has 2-5 years of experience in suitable roles, but we also welcome applications from candidates with less or more of relevant experience. As a Business Developer, you’ll work on challenging projects in close cooperation with our internal and external stakeholders, i.e. customers, supported by a professional IT&DT (Information Technology and Digital Transformation) team and modern tools in an inspiring, international environment. Our compensation aligns with trade union recommendations and reflects the level of responsibility your role, personal capabilities and skills, working experience and specialization. Monthly salary depends on your experience, capabilities and references and ranges from €4,000 to €5,500. Please share your thoughts regarding salary expectations in your application. What helps you succeed in this role

  • Relevant educational background from a technical university or business school (e.g. master’s in industrial engineering and management)
  • Solid experience in business development and/or sales, preferably within B2B and IT / software or other digital businesses.
  • Ability to grasp, present and document complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Customer-perceived-value -oriented mindset combined with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in Finnish and proficiency in English (spoken and written); other languages are considered an asset.
  • A team-oriented mindset and motivation to grow and share your expertise in the field of business development.
