Upholsterer / Furniture Restorer (Helsinki)

We are looking for a highly experienced upholsterer / furniture restorer for a permanent full-time position in a small, specialised workshop. The work focuses on demanding projects with antique furniture and Nordic designer pieces (Finnish, Swedish and Danish design), using premium upholstery fabrics and leather. You will manage customer projects independently from first contact and assessment to planning, execution, quality control and final delivery. Work is mainly done at the workshop, with occasional visits to customers premises.

The role also includes supporting the companys marketing by creating photo and video material and helping to maintain our Google Business profile, social media channels and website.

Requirements:
– portfolio website with documented upholstery and restoration projects, including work with designer furniture and premium materials
– extensive hands-on experience in upholstery and traditional wooden furniture restoration
– strong skills in using, adjusting and maintaining industrial sewing machines and overlock machines
– strong skills in using, adjusting and maintaining sanding machines and woodworking machines used in furniture restoration
– safe and precise use of upholstery staplers and other power tools
– basic metal-working skills for furniture parts (legs, frames, fittings)
– ability to manage projects independently and communicate directly with customers
– good command of Finnish, English and Russian
– readiness for flexible hours, physically demanding work with heavy furniture, and a valid category B driving licence
