Production Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to strengthen the production of our vessel projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily smooth execution of demanding professional vessel projects, leading production personnel, and ensuring that projects are delivered with high quality, safely, and on schedule.
The role is a key part of the project organisation and offers a hands-on opportunity to influence how unique and technically demanding vessels are built; from design to a completed end product. You will be responsible for the operational leadership and continuous development of production in vessel projects.
Key responsibilities:
Daily production and technical supervision of vessel projects.
Line management responsibility for production personnel.
Ensuring schedules, quality and occupational safety in vessel projects.
Coordinating manufacturing and testing activities from a supervisory perspective.
Close cooperation with design, project management, purchase and quality.
Solution-oriented handling of production challenges and deviations.
Continuous development of production methods, work phases and ways of working.
Participation in production resourcing, workload planning and project preparation.
Supervising subcontractors when needed.
The role highlights the nature of project-based production: each vessel is its own unique build, requiring both structured planning and flexibility.
What we expect from you:
Relevant technical education (e.g. Engineer, Technician, Foreman/Master craftsman).
Experience in production supervision and/or team leadership roles.
Experience in the boatbuilding industry, metal industry or other technical manufacturing is considered an advantage.
Ability to lead people clearly, fairly and in an encouraging way.
Strong organisational, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
A hands-on, proactive and solution-oriented working approach.
Excellent Finnish skills and working-level Swedish and English skills (international customers and projects).
Ability to review 3D models and CAD material, and to understand technical drawings.
A positive attitude and willingness to develop within professional vessel building and project-based production.
Ability to manage the overall scope of a vessel project within your area of responsibility and ensure smooth production while maintaining a clear overall view.
