Photography guide, part-time position, Rovaniemi, Beyond Arctic

Beyond Arctic is a leading photography tour operator in Rovaniemi and Levi, Finland. We specialize in outdoor and adventure travel, and we create unique experiences for our guests searching for authenticity and exclusivity. We are looking for photography guides to join our growing team in the winter season 2024-2025.

Beyond Arctic is a family-owned company, and we want to offer our team members a positive and engaging work environment centred around nature and photography. As a Beyond Arctic photography guide, you will lead small groups of 2-8 persons in the nature of Lapland and give them amazing photography experiences. We organise Northern Lights Photography tours, snowshoe adventures, back-country skiing excursions, ice fishing trips and nature hikes, and much more. Our core values include sustainable travel, and Beyond Arctic is a Green Activities certified service provider and involved in the Sustainable Travel Finland program and the Protect Our Winters movement to protect the Arctic regions natural environments.

As a Photography Guide, you are the face of Beyond Arctic. Your task is to provide outstanding customer service, tell stories, and capture our guests Arctic experience in photographs. During our adventures, we can show the best of Lapland and introduce our guests to Finnish culture and nature. If you interested in photography and a passion to share your knowledge by leading our guests on adventures and expeditions one step deeper into the nature, you are the person we are looking for!

Qualified candidates will have outdoors guiding experience, good leadership skills and experience with driving in winter conditions. We are looking for a social personality who is passionate about sharing stories and shows warm and caring hospitality to our guests from around the world.

What we require from you is B-driving license and fluent English skills. A hygiene certificate, first aid skills and knowledge of other languages are appreciated. We will train you in the basic photography skills needed in your work. First aid training is provided before starting in the position.

Qualifications and Skills:
-Valid drivers licence
-Fluence in English. Other languages are appreciated
-Experience in the use of photo editing software is appreciated
-Interest in nature and experience in photography is a plus. We provide photography training before starting in the position
-Customer service skills
-Ability to work independently and in a team
