We are looking for an experienced **Chef or Cook with a strong background in Spanish cuisine** to join our team in Helsinki, Finland.<\/p>\n

We are seeking someone with a deep understanding of traditional Spanish cooking, a genuine passion for hospitality, and the creativity and curiosity to bring those skills into a contemporary and multicultural culinary environment.<\/p>\n

Experience or familiarity with **Latin American and Caribbean cuisine** is considered a strong advantage.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/p>\n

Prepare Spanish dishes using authentic recipes, ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, including:<\/p>\n

– Croquetas<\/p>\n

– Cocidos, bean and chickpea stews<\/p>\n

– Grilling, roasting and _a la plancha_ cooking<\/p>\n

– Sofritos and other culinary bases<\/p>\n

– Slow-cooked guisos and stews<\/p>\n

– Deep-frying and frituras<\/p>\n

– Plantain preparations<\/p>\n

– Marinades and adobos<\/p>\n

– Rice dishes<\/p>\n

The successful candidate should also be willing to **learn and prepare Latin American and Caribbean dishes**, combining techniques and flavours from different culinary traditions.<\/p>\n

Our goal is also to explore new dishes that create an interesting fusion between **Spanish and Latin American cuisine, with the possibility of incorporating selected elements of Finnish cuisine**.<\/p>\n

Additional responsibilities include:<\/p>\n

– Following authentic recipes while maintaining high standards of quality, flavour and presentation.<\/p>\n

– Contributing to the creation and development of new dishes.<\/p>\n

– Bringing creativity to plating and presentation.<\/p>\n

– Managing mise en place and food preparation efficiently.<\/p>\n

– Maintaining a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment.<\/p>\n

– Assisting with inventory management and stock control.<\/p>\n

– Following food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards.<\/p>\n

– Keeping up to date with contemporary culinary techniques, trends and restaurant presentation styles.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n

– **Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience** in a professional kitchen.<\/p>\n

– Proven professional cooking experience.<\/p>\n

– Experience with **Spanish and\/or Latin American cuisine** is strongly preferred.<\/p>\n

– Strong knowledge of flavour profiles, seasoning, ingredients and cooking techniques.<\/p>\n

– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.<\/p>\n

– Ability to remain calm, organised and professional during busy service periods.<\/p>\n

– Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.<\/p>\n

– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.<\/p>\n

– Reliable, responsible and positive attitude.<\/p>\n

– Spanish language skills are highly valued.<\/p>\n

– Candidates should provide **verifiable professional references** from previous employment.<\/p>\n

Eligibility to Work in Finland<\/p>\n

Candidates must have **EU citizenship or a valid residence\/work permit that allows them to work in Finland**.<\/p>\n
