To strengthen our service team in Finland, we are looking for a motivated and hands-on **Service Engineer** to support our customers with advanced airport technology solutions.<\/p>\n

**Your Mission**<\/p>\n

In this role, you will be an important part of our technical team, ensuring that mission-critical airport systems are commissioned, maintained, and supported to the highest standards.<\/p>\n

You will:<\/p>\n

– Perform servicing, preventive maintenance, commissioning, and diagnostics of ADB SAFEGATE hardware and software systems, both on-site and remotely.<\/p>\n

– Maintain and update technical documentation.<\/p>\n

– Provide technical expertise and support to our customers.<\/p>\n

– Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders while independently taking ownership of assigned tasks.<\/p>\n

– Conduct on-site surveys and prepare technical reports.<\/p>\n

– Represent ADB SAFEGATE professionally in all customer interactions.<\/p>\n

**Your Profile**<\/p>\n

We are looking for a practical, ambitious, and reliable professional who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and taking ownership in an international environment.<\/p>\n

**Required qualifications**<\/p>\n

– A degree or professional qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Computer Science, IT, or a comparable technical field.<\/p>\n

– Hands-on experience with electrical, automation, control, or industrial IT systems, including confidence in using technical tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software.<\/p>\n

– Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify faults across hardware, software, electrical, and control systems.<\/p>\n

– Practical experience with low- or medium-voltage equipment and the ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.<\/p>\n

– Professional working proficiency in Finnish and English, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers and international colleagues.<\/p>\n

– Willingness to travel up to 30%, including occasional short-notice assignments. Some commissioning and service activities may take place outside standard working hours.<\/p>\n

– A valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel independently to customer sites.<\/p>\n

– Ability to manage assigned service and commissioning tasks independently while collaborating effectively with international engineering, project, and customer support teams.<\/p>\n

– Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to provide professional technical support, guidance, and updates.<\/p>\n

– A proactive and responsible approach, with strong quality awareness, customer focus, and ownership of assigned tasks.<\/p>\n

**Preferred qualifications**<\/p>\n

– Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, System Engineer, Service Technician, or in a similar customer-facing technical role.<\/p>\n

– Experience with airport systems, airfield lighting, industrial infrastructure, or other safety- or operationally critical systems.<\/p>\n

– Practical knowledge of PLC systems, switchgear, control equipment, and industrial automation.<\/p>\n

– Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows and\/or Linux operating systems.<\/p>\n

– Working knowledge of SQL databases, including basic diagnostics, queries, and system support.<\/p>\n

– Familiarity with scripting or programming languages used for diagnostics, configuration, automation, or system integration, such as Python, Bash, batch scripting, C#, or JavaScript.<\/p>\n

– Experience with cloud-connected systems, remote monitoring solutions, networking, or remote support tools.<\/p>\n

– A relevant Finnish electrical safety qualification. Candidates who are eligible and willing to obtain the required qualification may also be considered.<\/p>\n

– Knowledge of other European languages.<\/p>\n
