**Join the team at Restaurant Aihki in Pyh\u00e4tunturi!**<\/p>\n

We are looking for a **Chef** to join Restaurant Aihki for the winter season 2026 – 2027, as part of Sunday Morning Resort in Pyh\u00e4tunturi, Finnish Lapland.<\/p>\n

Restaurant Aihki is known for its high-quality modern Nordic cuisine, where pure, locally sourced ingredients take centre stage. Our restaurant has twice been recognised among **Finland’s Best Restaurants** by _Kauppalehti Optio_ (2022 & 2023, rating 16+).<\/p>\n

As a Chef at Restaurant Aihki, you will work as part of our professional kitchen team and take an active role in daily food preparation and service. You will work with high-quality ingredients and help ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen meets Aihki’s high standards.<\/p>\n

This position is ideal for a chef with a few years of professional kitchen experience who is looking to develop their skills in a high-quality restaurant environment. Experience in \u00e0 la carte, fine dining or Nordic cuisine is considered an advantage, but most importantly, we are looking for a professional attitude, a strong team spirit and a genuine passion for great food.<\/p>\n

**Your responsibilities include:**<\/p>\n

– Preparing and presenting dishes according to Restaurant Aihki’s standards<\/p>\n

– Working across different kitchen stations during daily service<\/p>\n

– Preparing and handling ingredients<\/p>\n

– Following Aihki’s recipes, procedures and quality standards<\/p>\n

– Ensuring the quality, proper storage and rotation of ingredients<\/p>\n

– Following kitchen hygiene, food safety and self-monitoring procedures<\/p>\n

– Keeping your workstation clean, organised and ready for service<\/p>\n

– Working closely with the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house teams<\/p>\n

**We are looking for someone who has:**<\/p>\n

– Approximately 2-3 years of professional kitchen experience<\/p>\n

– A relevant culinary qualification or equivalent practical experience<\/p>\n

– Experience in an \u00e0 la carte restaurant; fine dining or Nordic cuisine experience is considered an advantage<\/p>\n

– Strong fundamental cooking skills and an interest in high-quality ingredients<\/p>\n

– An organised, responsible and proactive approach to work<\/p>\n

– The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment<\/p>\n

– Good teamwork and communication skills<\/p>\n

– Good spoken English; Finnish and other languages are considered an advantage<\/p>\n

– Motivation to learn and continue developing professionally<\/p>\n

**Employment**<\/p>\n

The position begins in **mid-November 2026** and continues until the **end of March 2027**.<\/p>\n

This is a **full-time seasonal position**, approximately **40 hours per week**, with two days off per week. Shifts are mainly scheduled in the afternoon and evening.<\/p>\n

Working a winter season in Pyh\u00e4 also means experiencing the Arctic winter, snowy fells and the unique atmosphere of Finnish Lapland right outside your workplace.<\/p>\n
