Are you passionate about safety, quality and continuous improvement in an industrial environment?
\nWe are now looking for an EHSQ Engineer to strengthen our Sustainability, Safety & Quality (SSQ) team in Pietarsaari (Jakobstad), Finland.<\/p>\n

At OSTP, you will play a key role in developing and implementing our safety, quality and management systems\u2014ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards and continuously improve.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE ROLE<\/p>\n

As an EHSQ Engineer, you are responsible for driving and ensuring the practical implementation of safety, environmental, and quality practices across the organization.<\/p>\n

You act as a key link between standards, requirements, and daily operations\u2014ensuring that legal obligations, ISO standards, and company practices are effectively applied and continuously improved.<\/p>\n

YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL<\/p>\n

* Own the development and implementation of EHSQ practices in the production environment<\/p>\n

* Drive safety and quality performance, including follow-up of deviations and corrective actions<\/p>\n

* Promote a strong safety and quality culture and ensure consistent practices across the organization<\/p>\n

* Develop processes, ways of working, and awareness across teams<\/p>\n

* Lead and coordinate selected safety-related activities, improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration<\/p>\n

* Ensure compliance with legislation, standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), and internal requirements<\/p>\n

You will be part of a team of six professionals within the SSQ department, collaborating closely across the organization.<\/p>\n

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU<\/p>\n

* A B.Sc. in Engineering (e.g. Chemical, Mechanical or similar)<\/p>\n

* Experience from industrial environments (safety, quality or systems work is an advantage)<\/p>\n

* A structured and proactive way of working, with strong collaboration skills<\/p>\n

* Ability to analyze deviations and drive improvements<\/p>\n

* Good communication skills in Finnish, Swedish and English<\/p>\n

* Knowledge of ISO management systems and safety legislation<\/p>\n
