**OPEN CALL FOR AN ARTISTIC DIRECTOR \u2013 Mad House Helsinki & Reality Research Center**<\/p>\n

Mad House Helsinki and Reality Research Center are merging to create a new organisation for performance and live art. We are seeking an Artistic Director to develop the organisation’s artistic vision, programme and activities.<\/p>\n

The new organisation will produce a year-round programme consisting of stage productions, site-specific works and other forms of performance and live art. Based at Tekstin talo (House of Text) in Helsinki, we have access to our own stage for part of the year.<\/p>\n

As Artistic Director, you will be responsible for the organisations artistic direction, curation and artist relations, as well as developing national and international networks alongside the Managing Director and the rest of the team. You will lead programme planning and contribute to the organisations funding, communications and strategic development.<\/p>\n

We are looking for an experienced professional in the field of performance and live art with a strong curatorial and artistic vision, experience in artistic programming, and the ability to help develop a new organisation together with the team. Excellent English-language skills are required for the position. Knowledge of Finnish and Swedish is considered an asset.<\/p>\n

We offer you the opportunity to play a central role in launching a new organisation for performance and live art and to influence the field within an ambitious, collaborative and evolving working environment.<\/p>\n

**Employment:** 50% position, 18,5h\/week **Duration:** 2 years (with a 2-year extension option) **Start date:** 30 November 2026, or as agreed **Salary:** \u20ac1,600 per month **Location:** Tekstin talo (House of Text), Helsinki, Lintulahdenkatu 3<\/p>\n

**Recruitment process**<\/p>\n

The recruitment process consists of two rounds of interviews. Based on the applications, selected candidates will be invited to the first-round interviews. Following the first round of interviews, shortlisted candidates will be invited to the second-round interviews. The final selection will be made by the recruitment committee and the Board in October.<\/p>\n
