The Personal Care Worker provides personal assistance and household support to the client in a private home. The purpose of the position is to assist the client with daily living and commuting activities. The client is the employers Indian husband who moves around with the aid of a rollator.<\/p>\n

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**<\/p>\n

The employee’s duties include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n

– Planning and preparing daily meals according to the client’s preferences.<\/p>\n

– Purchasing groceries and household supplies.<\/p>\n

– Performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a clean home environment.<\/p>\n

– Organizing the household and assisting with routine domestic tasks.<\/p>\n

– Reminding the client to take prescribed oral medications in accordance with the clients care plan and instructions.<\/p>\n

– Accompanying and assisting the client during appointments, shopping, and other daily activities.<\/p>\n

– Driving the client to appointments, shopping, and other necessary destinations using the employer’s or employee’s vehicle, as agreed.<\/p>\n

– Performing other reasonable household and personal assistance duties consistent with the position of a Personal Care Worker.<\/p>\n

**Requirements**<\/p>\n

– Ability to cook Indian and African cuisine according to client’s instructions<\/p>\n

– Good English language skill and Tamil skill preferred<\/p>\n

– Valid Finnish driving licence and having driven in Finland minimum 6 months including capital region.<\/p>\n

– Ability to work independently and responsibly.<\/p>\n

– Good communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n

– Reliable, trustworthy, and respectful attitude.<\/p>\n

– Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding the client’s personal matters.<\/p>\n

– Previous experience in home care, personal assistance, caregiving, or household management is considered an advantage.<\/p>\n

**Place of Work**<\/p>\n

The work is performed primarily in the working residence, where the employee is provided with a private room and bathroom facilities as an employment benefit.The client resides in a separate apartment located next door. Daily care and household support are provided mainly in the working residence, where the client comes for meals and receives assistance with daily activities. The employee also accompanies the client to appointments, shopping, and other necessary activities.<\/p>\n

**Fringe benefits**<\/p>\n

As part of the employment benefits, the employee is provided with accommodation consisting of a private room and bathroom facilities in the working residence as well as the use of kitchen. The employee is responsible for the cost of water and electricity. Employee is also provided with three daily meals during the working days.<\/p>\n

**Working time**<\/p>\n

The working time is 40 h per week from Monday to Friday. Typical working hours are from 6:00 am to 8:00 am and from 12:00 pm to 6 pm. Overtime worked on a 3-weekly basis is generally compensated with equivalent paid time off, as agreed between the employer and the employee and in accordance with applicable legislation. Annual leave is coordinated with the clients travel calendar.
