Personal Assistant<\/p>\n

The International School of Helsinki (ISH) is a vibrant, inclusive, and non-profit learning community offering education to students aged 4 to 18 through the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum. Located in Finlands capital, ISH fosters a global mindset and prepares students for the complexities of the modern world. Our community includes over 100 staff members and approximately 500 students representing diverse cultures and nationalities.<\/p>\n

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Personal Assistant to engage, collaborate and support a particular student in our primary years program. This is a part-time, temporary position within our dynamic IB World School.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities Include:<\/p>\n

Provide positive, supportive, and consistent learning and behavioral support for one individual student.<\/p>\n

Advocate for the student and provide input that will support their individual learning goals and needs.<\/p>\n

Collaborate effectively with teachers in supporting the students learning.<\/p>\n

Support student learning with high quality instruction and guidance in and out of the classroom<\/p>\n

Follow teacher direction in support of the students learning and curricular objectives<\/p>\n

Communicate the students challenges with the appropriate teacher(s) or school leaders.<\/p>\n

Prepare materials to support the students learning including instructional materials as directed by the teacher(s).<\/p>\n

Supervise the student during emergency drills, assemblies, transitions, recesses and lunch periods.<\/p>\n

Actively maintain a culture of vigilance to identify any changes in student well-being, reporting all concerns promptly in line with school safeguarding procedures.<\/p>\n

Salary:<\/p>\n

The minimum full-time equivalent salary will be \u20ac2,136.69 per month.<\/p>\n

Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n

A bachelor degree from an accredited university. A teaching qualification is preferred.<\/p>\n

Experience working with primary aged children with special educational needs preferred.<\/p>\n

Excellent organizational and communication skills to foster a supportive and nurturing environment.<\/p>\n

A caring, patient, and student-centered approach to assisting.<\/p>\n

High levels of proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in English.<\/p>\n
