In this position, you will be responsible for conducting research, experiments, and validations using the company&#8217;s phage-biosensor method to detect the early stage of diseases from non-invasive samples (saliva, urine). **A key part of this role involves active participation and engagement in our China projects.**<\/p>\n<p>Your research topics will mainly cover our phage-biosensor development based on bacteriophage constructs. The work will include developing biosensors towards different disease biomarkers related to cancers, neurological disorders and infectious diseases, performing sample preparation, and analyzing bioassays. The work includes the development of _in-vitro_ evolution processes of phages, and complementary tests using traditional methods with external collaborators. Your duties also consist of documentation, drafting scientific publications, and collaboration with our clinical partners.<\/p>\n<p>**What We Expect From You:**<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; **Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is a strict requirement for this role.**<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; **Willingness and capability to travel** (essential for overseas project collaboration).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; M.Sc in biochemistry, biotechnology, systems biology, or a related discipline.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Proficiency and interest to work hands-on in laboratory with a genuine interest on capabilities of biotech and phage-biosensors<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Preparation and measurement of clinical samples (such as saliva, urine, blood).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Good communication skills, a proactive attitude, and problem-solving capabilities are essential to succeed in this position.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Fluency in English.<\/p>\n<p>**It Would Be a Distinct Advantage If You Also Have:**<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; An understanding of biomarkers and their use in medical diagnoses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; An interest in different diseases, such as cancers, infectious- or neurological diseases.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Capability to adopt new methods, technologies, and measurement devices.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Experience from project management.<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"te-palvelut-info\">\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Employment relationship:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">Employment <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Wage:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">Other <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Working time:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">Daytime work<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Number of positions:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">1<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Notes for applying:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">Please send a free-form application and curriculum vitae with a salary request by email to: jukka.holappa@aqbiotech.com by July 31st 2026 at the latest.
