This role involves full ownership of the logistics strategy, team leadership, and daily coordination of site logistics operationsincluding deliveries, access control, waste management, traffic flow, and welfare support. You will manage a team of logistics personnel and subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient operations across a busy, fast-paced site.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:<br \/>\nSite Logistics Planning &#038; Delivery:<br \/>\nDevelop, implement, and manage the overall site logistics strategy for the construction phase.<br \/>\nOversee site layout planning, including laydown areas, traffic routes, welfare zones, storage areas, and movement strategies.<br \/>\nEnsure logistics operations align with the master construction schedule and key milestone dates.<br \/>\nLogistics Team Management &#038; Coordination:<br \/>\nLead, coordinate, and supervise the on-site logistics team, including:<br \/>\nLogistics supervisors\/coordinators<br \/>\nDelivery gate operatives<br \/>\nTraffic marshals and security teams<br \/>\nWaste and site cleaning operatives<br \/>\nManage and coordinate subcontracted logistics providers (e.g., material handling, lifting services, cleaning etc).<br \/>\nAssign daily tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure resources are deployed effectively across the site.<br \/>\nConduct daily team briefings, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings.<br \/>\nMaterial Movement &#038; Delivery Management:<br \/>\nImplement and manage a delivery management system (DMS) to control and schedule deliveries.<br \/>\nCoordinate just-in-time (JIT) deliveries to ensure materials are available at point-of-use while minimising congestion.<br \/>\nWork with freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers on inbound logistics of prefabricated or long-lead materials.<br \/>\nHealth, Safety &#038; Compliance:<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with Finnish safety regulations (Occupational Safety and Health Act 738\/2002).<br \/>\nImplement site traffic management plans, pedestrian segregation, and vehicle control measures.<br \/>\nEnsure team members hold necessary safety certifications (Ty\u00f6turvallisuuskortti, Tulity\u00f6kortti, etc.).<br \/>\nParticipate in safety audits and collaborate closely with the HSE team.<br \/>\nStakeholder Interface &#038; Communication:<br \/>\nServe as the key point of contact for logistics with the main contractor, client, subcontractors, and suppliers<br \/>\nAttend daily coordination meetings to align logistics with construction progress and upcoming activities.<br \/>\nProvide regular updates to site leadership on logistics issues, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting &#038; Administration:<br \/>\nMaintain accurate records of deliveries, waste movements, manpower, and equipment.<br \/>\nPrepare and issue daily and weekly logistics reports.<br \/>\nMaintain and update the logistics plan and site layout drawings in coordination with planners.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications &#038; Experience:<br \/>\nDegree or diploma in Construction Management, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent.<br \/>\n5 years experience in construction logistics on large-scale projects, ideally data centres, industrial, or high-tech.<br \/>\nProven ability to manage and motivate a multidisciplinary site logistics team.<br \/>\nSolid knowledge of Finnish construction regulations and working culture.<br \/>\nExperience using logistics software tools and tools for drawing logistics plans (I.e, Datascope, Bluebeam, Autocad or proprietary DMS or other logistics\/layout platforms).<\/p>\n<p>Desirable:<br \/>\nExperience on mission-critical or hyperscale data centre projects.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with Finnish environmental and waste regulations.<br \/>\nFluency in English is essential; Finnish is a strong advantage.<br \/>\nPossession of Ty\u00f6turvallisuuskortti (Occupational Safety Card) and Tulity\u00f6kortti (Hot Work Permit), or willingness to obtain.<\/p>\n<p>Key Attributes:<br \/>\nStrong team leadership and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nOrganised, hands-on, and able to manage multiple operations concurrently.<br
