In this role you will support, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of IT and OT systems and infrastructure, that are critical to our manufacturing operations. You will help ensure stable, secure, and efficient digital services across the organization, with a particular focus on operational technology environments.<\/p>\n<p>This is a hands-on role where you will work close to the factory floor, supporting daily operations through onsite troubleshooting, system maintenance, and user support. You play an important role in maintaining a secure and reliable production environment, helping our manufacturing teams operate safely and without disruption.<\/p>\n<p>You will collaborate closely with end users, factory teams, external vendors, and global cybersecurity specialists. Your focus will be on resolving issues efficiently, strengthening system security, and supporting the digital connectivity of our production environment.<\/p>\n<p>This role also offers opportunities to grow and take increasing responsibility over time. You will contribute to IT and OT related projects and play an active part in the digitalization of our new Power Transformers factory in Vaasa, scheduled for completion in spring 2027. The upcoming Hitachi Energy Park will feature a state-of-the-art transformer factory as well as modern office and testing facilities, significantly expanding company&#8217;s transformer production and testing capacity in Finland.<\/p>\n<p>**How you\u00b4ll make an impact**<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for internal users.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and network devices.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Monitor system performance and availability, identifying and resolving potential problems proactively.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Assist with the implementation and deployment of new IT solutions and technologies.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Participate in IT projects, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Conduct regular data backups and ensure data integrity and recovery capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to resolve complex technical issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in the IT and digitalization field.<\/p>\n<p>**Your background**<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Already some years of experience in an IT support or general IT specialist role.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and their administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Proficiency in network fundamentals (TCP\/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Experience with hardware troubleshooting and component replacement.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Familiarity with common software applications and productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office 365).<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL) are a plus.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Knowledge and understanding of production development, automation and machine connectivity is a plus.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"te-palvelut-info\">\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Employment relationship:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">Employment <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Wage:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">Other <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Working time:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">Daytime work<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Number of positions:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">1<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"te-palvelut-row\"><span class=\"te-palvelut-hdr\">Notes for applying:<\/span><span class=\"te-palvelut-text\">Apply for the position by 15 June 2026.
