This is a senior management position responsible for the operational and strategic delivery of travel services and activities in Levi. Reporting directly to the Company Owner, the Operations Manager integrates human resources, fleet logistics, safety protocols, and daily service delivery to ensure strong seasonal performance.<\/p>\n

– **Location**: Levi resort, Lapland.<\/p>\n
– **Working Mode**: Full-time, on-site (office and field operations). Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position.<\/p>\n

**Your Responsibilities**<\/p>\n
– **Operational Lifecycle Management**: Directing the seasonal operational strategy, ensuring that service delivery meets company objectives and technical quality standards.<\/p>\n
– **Direct Human Resource Oversight**: Manage the Operations Scheduler and field team, including guides and drivers. Responsibilities include performance follow-up, resource allocation, and personnel development.<\/p>\n
– **Logistics:** Oversee vehicle fleets, staff housing, equipment, transfers, and daily operational logistics to maximize efficiency and reliability.<\/p>\n
– **Safety & Compliance:** Act as the primary person responsible for risk assessment and safety compliance, ensuring activities follow Finnish legislation and internal company protocols.<\/p>\n
– **Stakeholder Coordination:** Serve as the main operational link between the Company Owner, Sales, Front Desk, and field teams.<\/p>\n
– **Crisis & Contingency Management:** Respond to logistical disruptions, weather challenges, operational changes, and high-intensity seasonal peaks.<\/p>\n
**Requirements & Ideal Profile**<\/p>\n
– **Management Experience**: Minimum 3-5 years of professional leadership experience in logistics-heavy operations or travel management.<\/p>\n
– **Technical Understanding**: Strong understanding of operational requirements in Arctic environments and sub-zero conditions.<\/p>\n
– **Decision-Making:** Ability to work under pressure and make clear decisions in a rapidly changing environment.<\/p>\n
– **Leadership:** Proven ability to lead a large, multicultural field team.<\/p>\n
– **Communication**: Exceptional command of professional English. Proficiency in Finnish or additional European languages is considered a significant asset for local stakeholder management.<\/p>\n

**1. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS**<\/p>\n
**Contract Type & Justification**<\/p>\n
– This is a fixed-term employment contract justified by the seasonal peak of the winter travel business in Lapland.<\/p>\n
– **Permanent Track**: This position is designed for a candidate looking for a long-term career; successful completion of the season may lead to a permanent contract offer.<\/p>\n
**Base Salary & Included Hours**<\/p>\n
– **Contract Type**: Fixed Monthly Salary.<\/p>\n
– **Monthly Base Salary**: is to be discussed.<\/p>\n
– **Included Working Hours:** The base salary covers an average of 37.5 to 40 hours per week, approx. 160 hours per month.<\/p>\n
**Supplements (Paid in addition to the base salary)**<\/p>\n
– **Sunday & Public Holiday Work:** Sunday and official public holiday work is compensated with a 100% pay increase.<\/p>\n
– **Evening & Night Work:** Paid according to the current Program Services Sector Collective Agreement (Ohjelmapalvelualan TES).<\/p>\n
**Overtime & Working Time Averaging**<\/p>\n
– Due to the seasonal nature of our work, we use a working time averaging arrangement (tasoittumisjakso) under the Finnish Working Hours Act and Program Services TES.<\/p>\n
– Your hours are averaged over the contract period rather than calculated week by week.<\/p>\n
**Seasonal Company Performance Bonus**<\/p>\n
– At the end of the winter season, a performance-based bonus is available.<\/p>\n
– Specific KPIs and metrics will be finalized during the contract signing.<\/p>\n
**2. ANNUAL LEAVE & SICK PAY**<\/p>\n
– **Annual leave accrual**: 2 days\/month in year 1; 2.5 days\/month from year 2 (Finnish Annual Holidays Act).<\/p>\n
– **Sick leave pay**: Full salary for the applicable period per the Travel Agency TES.<\/p>\n

**5. CONTRACT DURATION & EARLY TERMINATION**<\/p>\n
– **Trial Period**: During the trial period (maximum 8 weeks), either party may end employment immediately and without giving a reason, except on discriminatory grounds.<\/p>\n
– **Fixed-Term Nature**: Following the trial period, this contract is binding for both parties until **15.04.2027**. As this is a fixed-term agreement without a separate termination notice clause, it cannot be terminated early by notice.<\/p>\n
