**Work Location & Conditions**<\/p>\n

**Your Responsibilities**<\/p>\n
– **Daily Scheduling & Activity Planning:** Updating and organizing daily activities in the booking system, ensuring accurate availability.<\/p>\n
– **Customer Service & Sales:** Serving walk-in customers, handling online sales, social media inquiries, travel agents, and group sales.<\/p>\n
– **Communication with Local Suppliers:** Coordinating with activity suppliers and service partners regarding daily sales reports, last-minute requests, and operational updates.<\/p>\n
– **Front Desk Team Operations:** Engaging in daily teamwork and operations. Delegating, motivating, and maintaining team spirit under seasonal pressure.<\/p>\n
– **Customer Materials:** Preparing and printing customer handouts, updating front desk display materials, digital screens, and other customer-facing content.<\/p>\n
– **Forward Planning:** Staying ahead of operations by monitoring and preparing for upcoming weeks.<\/p>\n
**Requirements & Ideal Profile**<\/p>\n
– Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position in a travel company in Finland\/Scandinavia, OR at least 1 year in customer service and sales in a retail shop.<\/p>\n
– IT and booking systems proficiency: Confident use of Bokun (or similar), Travius, email Outlook, Microsoft Office applications, and daily reporting platforms (full training provided).<\/p>\n
– Sales-oriented thinking with a proactive approach to offering\/upselling activities and understanding capacity limits to avoid overbooking.<\/p>\n
– Punctual, reliable, and highly self-disciplined with meticulous attention to detail.<\/p>\n
– Friendly, composed, and solution-oriented approach to guests and partners.<\/p>\n
– Local knowledge and Lappish erudition: Familiarity with the culture, nature, and tourism products of Lapland to provide authentic recommendations.<\/p>\n
– Ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay organized in time-sensitive, high-volume situations.<\/p>\n
– Supervisory experience with small teams is a strong advantage.<\/p>\n
**1. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS**<\/p>\n
**Contract Type & Justification** This is a fixed-term employment contract. The fixed-term nature is legally justified by the strictly seasonal nature of the winter travel business in Lapland.<\/p>\n
**Base Salary & Included Hours**<\/p>\n
– **Contract Type:** Fixed Monthly Salary.<\/p>\n
– **Monthly Base Salary:** to be discussed<\/p>\n
– **Included Working Hours:** The base salary covers an average of 37.5 to 40 hours of work per week (approx. 160 hours per month).<\/p>\n
**Supplements (Paid in addition to the base salary):**<\/p>\n
– **Sunday & Public Holiday Work:** In accordance with the Finnish Working Hours Act, all hours worked on a Sunday or an official public holiday are compensated with a 100% pay increase (double pay).<\/p>\n
– **Evening & Night Work:** Work performed during evening and night hours will be compensated with the appropriate hourly supplements as defined in the current Program Services Sector Collective Agreement (Ohjelmapalvelualan TES).<\/p>\n
**Overtime & Working Time Averaging** Given the seasonal nature of our work, we utilize a working time averaging arrangement (tasoittumisjakso) under the Finnish Working Hours Act and the Program Services TES. Your hours are averaged over the full 5-month contract period rather than calculated week by week. This allows flexibility for more hours during our peak winter weeks and fewer during quieter periods.<\/p>\n
**Seasonal Company Performance Bonus** At the end of the winter season, a seasonal bonus is available (specific details and performance metrics will be informed during contract signing).<\/p>\n
**2. ANNUAL LEAVE & SICK PAY**<\/p>\n
– **Annual leave accrual:** 2 days\/month in year 1; 2.5 days\/month from year 2 (Finnish Annual Holidays Act)<\/p>\n
– **Sick leave pay:** Full salary for the applicable period per the Travel Agency TES<\/p>\n
**3. WHAT WE PROVIDE**<\/p>\n
– **Accommodation:** A private room in the Levi area can be provided. Rent is offered at a competitive price and managed via a separate fixed calendar-month lease agreement.<\/p>\n
– **Transport:** Free use of company cars for transport from your accommodation to the Levi office, according to the schedule and car availability.<\/p>\n
– **Connectivity:** Work phone with a Finnish SIM (unlimited domestic calls, texts, and internet).<\/p>\n
– **Work Clothing:** Guide gear: outdoor winter jacket (rated to 30\u00b0C), T-shirt, fleece, beany, pants, and boots.<\/p>\n

**4. ADDITIONAL PERKS**<\/p>\n

**5. CONTRACT DURATION & EARLY TERMINATION**<\/p>\n
– This offer is for a fixed-term position running from 01.11.2026 to 31.03.2027.<\/p>\n
– **Trial Period:** During the trial period (maximum 8 weeks), either party may end employment immediately and without giving a reason, except on discriminatory grounds.<\/p>\n
– **Contractual Early Termination:** After the trial period, the contract is binding on both parties until 31.03.2027.
